The Watershed Forum kicks off 2018 with a return to Martinez! We are meeting at the Department of Conservation and Development on January 10th, with an array of interesting topics to discuss.
- Land Use Planning at Las Trampas: Neoma Lavalle and Kim Thai from the East Bay Regional Park District will discuss the addition of 760 acres to Las Trampas Regional Wilderness, and the planning that goes into opening those lands to the public.
- Mapping with Drones – Using drones for mapping hard to reach places. GeoWing Mapping Inc. worked with the Contra Costa County Department of Public Works to map where the Alhambra Valley Road washed out last winter. Becky Morton will discuss this project, and share ideas on how drones can be used in watershed mapping.
