9:00     Coffee, juice and bagels.  Friends of Marsh Creek and the CCC Department of Conservation and Development will provide bagels, coffee and juice; donations are accepted (please bring a mug to minimize our use of paper or plastic cups).

9:30     Welcome from Mayor Carol Rios, City of Oakley

9:40     Roundtable news/updates, including, but not limited to, the following items:

o       Executive Committee Report

o       Update on State Financial Situation and impacts of watershed projects

10:00   Update on the State Financial Situation and Impacts to Watershed Projects (John Kopchik, CCC Department of Conservation and Development)

10:05   Update on the East Contra Costa County Habitat Conservancy and the Historical Ecology Assessment: Wetland Restoration Projects Completed and Planned (Abby Fateman, CCC Department of Conservation and Development)

10:25   Dutch Slough Project (John Cain from Natural Heritage Institute and Tom Williams from Ironhouse Sanitary District)           

10:55   Update on Activities in the Marsh Creek Watershed including salmon count, monitoring and clean-ups and collaboration on fish ladder (Diane Burgis from Friends of Marsh Creek)

11:15   Awards Ceremony for Volunteers active with the CCWF’s Creek Monitoring Program (Michelle Luebke, CCC Department of Conservation and Development)

11:30   Adjourn to March 11, 2009 meeting in memory of Roger Epperson, , Superintendent of Black Diamond Mines, Round Valley and Morgan Territory Regional Preserves for the East Bay Regional Park District.

11:35   Optional Tour the Marsh Creek Fish ladder site (to be constructed) and demonstration of the Salmon Count monitoring.   (Mike Moran, EBRPD)

Directions to Oakley City Hall

Directions on Google Map tell you to take Hwy 4 (RED LINE).  You must stay to the right to stay on Hwy 4 or you will end up on the Hwy 4Bypass.

·        get off at Main St/ Hwy 4 Brentwood/Stockton

·        Turn Right off exit and go down Main St/ Hwy 4 a little over 2 miles.

·        City Hall will be on your right.

IF you do end up on the Hwy 4 Bypass get off at the Exit 31 Laurel Rd. (BLUE LINE)

·         Turn Left on to Laurel Rd and go just under a mile to Empire Avenue.

·         Turn Left on Empire Avenue and stay on Empire for just over 1 mile.

·         Turn Right on Main St./ Hwy 4

·         City Hall will be about half a mile on the right.
