Bioassessment Season Is Here!

The Contra Costa County Volunteer Creek Monitoring Program is gearing up for the 2008 season of Bioassessment! Monitoring the diversity and abundance of aquatic insects helps to determine the biological integrity and overall health of our watersheds. Bioassessment surveys provide volunteers and regulators a cost-effective method to monitor water quality over time, identify possible pollutant sources, and focus restoration efforts.

In order to participate, volunteers must attend one of the training dates below. Both training dates will have the same structure and information, so please select the date that works the best for your schedule. Trained volunteers will be expected to commit to at least one 6-hour sampling day according to their individual availability (indicate below).
