This is a glossary of creek and watershed terms used on this website and in CCWF publications.

Watershed
- The simplest definition of a watershed is an area of land that drains precipitated waters to a given reference point, typically a confluence with another major creek or large water body.

Vector
- A data structure that uses points. lines and polygons to represent geographic features. Attributes are associated with each feature (as opposed to a raster data structure, which associates attributes with grid cells).

Topography
- The graphic representation of the surface features of a region on a map, indicating their relative positions and elevations.
