Creeks in the Classroom Program Available
The Watershed Project will again be offering our Creeks in the Classroom Program! As a past participant of one of our workshops, we would like to inform you of this opportunity. If you are a classroom teacher, your class is eligible to participate in this program which introduces students to creek ecology and raises awareness about their local environment. Our staff will bring watershed education into your classroom with a variety of hands-on activities that include identifying riparian plants and animals. See the attachment for detailed descriptions of activities for each grade level.
The program is approximately 50 minutes long and is tailored to meet State Science Standards. The program cost is $150 for one classroom and $50 for each additional classroom (times scheduled must be back to back on the same day).
If you would like to learn more about our organization or this program, please feel free to contact me, Brooke Halgren, at 510-665-3539 or visit our website at www.thewatershedproject.org.
